The static load test of piles is used to check the loads defined by the design, check the ultimate bearing capacity of the piles, or use it as a proof test. Depending on the needs of the project, we can perform a conventional test where only the movement of the pile head is measured and a test on an instrumented pile where the load transfer (at different levels) along the pile is registered with appropriate measuring instruments. The number of measuring levels depends on the length of the pile and the geological conditions on the site.
GeoTec Insitu has a calibrated jack and a hydraulic pump with a capacity of 5000 kN, which can be used to test axially compressed, tensioned, and laterally loaded piles depending on the client’s requirements. We also have a data logger and appropriate software used to measure and interpret test results.
Testing of instrumented piles must be announced earlier in order to obtain measuring equipment that is installed on the reinforcing cage (consumables) in a quantity that depends on the conditions defined by the project.
